Designer Aristeu Pires has translated the exceptional design and craftsmanship of the best-selling Lily armchair for the conference room.
Handcrafted from native hardwood at our production workshop in Brazil, the Lily is named for the designer’s mother — a quiet, welcoming presence whose embrace inspired her design.
Her form carries the name twice over. Aristeu Pires long turned over a question: how might a fully upholstered leather seat reveal the structure beneath it? The answer bloomed like the calla lily that shares his mother’s name — leather wrapped within a finished wood frame and drawn gently forward, as a flower opens to the light. As she turns, the fine grain of the frame is exposed, wrapping up into her high arms, a silhouette adapted for the conference room for an elegant balance of natural beauty and technical performance.
Conference chair by Aristeu Pires, hand-finished from sustainably harvested Brazilian hardwood and upholstered in rich leather or fabric. The frame is crafted, finished, and fully assembled at our workshop in Brazil; its imported Italian Donati base and workplace componentry are assembled in Michigan, USA.
